¿What do we do at Indesa to assure sustainability?

LAND USE

Our land is increasingly sown under a direct sown system. This reduces soil erosion, helps maintain moisture, and reduces oil and energy costs.

CROP ROTATION

Crop rotation helps us to keep the soil healthy and to control weeds and insects.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Indesa has implemented several strategies to minimize the amount of waste generated as well as ways to manage hazardous waste.

PEST MANAGEMENT

At Indesa we have optimized the use of chemical products and pesticides through Integrated Strategies that helped us to reduce the risk of plagues.

Dehydrated Vegetables

Products

At Indesa we choose to produce and dehydrate parsley knowing this is a noble product with fluctuating market conditions, variable product availability, price and quality. Nevertheless, we are always looking for new opportunities to dehydrate additional agricultural products.

Tecnology and Quality

The product is dehydrated in a continuous drying oven through the injection of hot air to reduce the humidity levels to the lowest point. We assure the highest quality standards are achieved by continuously monitoring and controlling of the complete supply chain, starting with the growing, harvesting and selection of the plant (in line with the Good Agricultural Practices), followed by the dehydration process, packaging and final dispatch to the customer, all according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

At Indesa, we operate under the FSSC 22.000 Food Safety norms and have been certified by Bureau Veritas.

Indesa guarantees excellence and consistency in its products, by controlling all critical processes and running regular microbiological, analytical and organoleptic.
